The Directorate General of Shipping is taking significant steps to safeguard the interests of Indian exporters by tackling unreasonable fees imposed by shipping lines. Numerous exporters have reported facing unexpected charges and opportunistic pricing schemes. To counter this, the maritime regulator is insisting that all fees be communicated transparently ahead of time.
