Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel along with a high level delegation met Singapore’s Minister of Trade and Industry, Gan Kim Yong on Friday. The delegation had reached Singapore after completing its tour of Japan.
The Indian government has authorized the export of specified quantities of wheat, wheat flour, and broken rice to five countries, including Bhutan, Mali, and Indonesia. The permission covers shipments through the National Cooperative Exports Limited (NCEL). The quantities permitted for Bhutan include wheat grain, atta, maida/semolina, and broken rice.
Keni Port is envisaged as an all-weather, greenfield, multi-cargo, direct berthing, deep-water commercial port for handling all types of cargoes on the west coast in the North Karnataka region to serve the industries in the area covering Bellary, Hosapete, Hubballi, Kalaburagi, and South Maharashtra, the statement added.

India is set to increase coking coal imports from Russia as supplies from Australia, its top supplier, drop and steel mills grapple with rising prices. Indian steel mills have faced challenges due to erratic supplies from Australia, which usually accounts for over half of India’s annual coking coal imports of about 70 million tonnes.
“Technical textiles is a sunrise sector and the future of this industry,” said a government official, adding that ambitious targets have been set for it.
India’s President Droupadi Murmu has emphasized the need to strengthen the infrastructure of ports and increase their efficiency.
