The Indian government is planning to extend its ‘trusted source’ mandate to tech devices like smart meters, parking sensors, drone parts, and laptops to tackle concerns over Chinese imports. This move aims to ensure a secure supply chain amid fears of data vulnerabilities. Import monitoring for laptops and computers has already been updated.
“MIP on synthetic knitted fabrics is extended from September 15 to December 31,” the Directorate General of Foreign Trade (DGFT) said in a notification. The MIP was also extended for eight new kinds of knitted fabrics including printed, bleached, unbleached and crocheted fabrics.
India announces policy conditions for halal meat exports starting October 16.
