DP World plans unit in GIFT City for ship-leasing

Dubai’s DP World is set to launch ship-leasing operations in India, starting with four ships through a subsidiary in Gujarat’s GIFT City. Approved by Indian authorities, DP World’s new venture includes vessel ownership, operation, and chartering. This move aligns with recent budgetary reforms in India that enhance ship leasing incentives.
