India immediately lifted its ban on de-oiled rice bran exports, ending restrictions imposed in July 2023. This move is expected to revive prices, which had halved, and boost production of both de-oiled rice bran for cattle feed and rice bran oil. The resumption will benefit the rice milling industry and help India reduce its significant vegetable oil imports.
