Syama Prasad Mookerjee Port, Kolkata (SMPK) has awarded a Rs 343.58 crore PPP project to Ganges Bulk Terminal Pvt. Ltd. for mechanizing berth No. 5 at Haldia Dock Complex. This initiative aims to enhance cargo handling efficiency, targeting 5 million metric tonnes of dry bulk cargo annually by December 2027. The project will boost eastern India’s maritime trade capabilities.
